Problem Statement

The command rpk redpanda tune net on an Azure VM may return a "segmentation fault" error message. 

Solution

Currently, there is no solution available. If you see the error, please do not run the command, rpk redpanda tune net.  

Notes

This is related to the unique architecture of virtual machines with IRQ. You may encounter this issue even in AWS. 
If you see this error message, please collect the OS and hardware information(e.g. hwinfo output), and reach out to Redpanda Support.
